The service is designed for candid conversation, but it does not create legal privilege.

What James does not do
Calls are not recorded or transcribed. James does not create session notes, quote conversations, publish them, turn them into content, use them for AI training, or report them to your employer.
What you should not disclose
Do not share source code, passwords, access credentials, trade secrets, classified information, export-controlled material, regulated personal data, or any information you are contractually or legally prohibited from disclosing. Technical shorthand is welcome; protected material is not required for a useful conversation.
Limits to confidentiality
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to respond to an immediate threat of serious harm, when required by a valid legal process or applicable law, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to establish or defend legal rights. When legally permitted and practical, only the minimum information reasonably necessary will be disclosed.
Operational providers
Cal.com receives scheduling information, Stripe receives payment information, and hosting providers may process technical logs. These providers do not participate in the conversation, but they maintain operational records under their own policies.
No legal privilege
This service is peer listening. It does not create attorney-client, therapist-client, doctor-patient, fiduciary, or other legally privileged relationships. If you need legally protected or regulated professional support, use an appropriately licensed professional.
